At FIT Academy, daily fitness classes boost academic performance, character development, and long-term student health. Since our founding in 2017, incorporating movement into daily learning has been a central feature of our curriculum.
Last week, a proposed Missouri bill (House Bill 2748) seeks to mandate 60 minutes of daily physical activity for all K-12 students, aiming to increase the current 30-minute requirement. The legislation, supported by educators and lawmakers, underscores the growing recognition of the connection between daily physical activity and academic achievement. Watch the report on the legislative push here.
Missouri joins a small handful of states that now require daily physical education for K-12. This development is progress in supporting child development science, and FIT Academy is proud to be a leader for this movement in Minnesota and for our families.
