Recent articles have supported the importance of physical activity in school aged children. In How Kids Learn Better By Taking Frequent Breaks Throughout the Day, we learn that part of Finland’s ascension as a leader in the educational field came as the result of a careful balance which includes frequent physical activity breaks. On Thursday December 7th, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported in an article entitled Study Finds Romping aids Reading, Writing, that the Minnesota Department of Education led a study demonstrating that increased physical activity resulted in a decrease in behavioral issues and an increase in test scores.
