FIT Academy has partnered with local and community organizations to enhance the value of our school and be able to offer more to our students and families.

Dr. Justin Anderson, Premier Sport Psychology

Justin Anderson, Psy.D., LP is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in sport psychology. He helps athletes, coaches and teams of any level tap into their strengths to achieve more from their sport. “Our biggest opponent is often ourselves…Having your mind work for you, rather than against you, is the key to any elite performance.”

Dr. Anderson has consulted with hundreds of athletes, coaches and teams from around the country and currently works with the Minnesota Gophers as well as other Olympic, and professional teams & athletes. He is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist and earned a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (MN). Dr. Anderson specializes in sport and performance psychology, organizational/business psychology, and counseling psychology.

Dr. Anderson has been interviewed on a number of national and local media outlets. For example, he was recognized for helping the Gophers basketball team upset then ranked #1 Indiana in 2013. View KSTP Interview here:

Dr. Anderson’s role as a partner with FIT Academy will be to provide guidance as the school develops a Teamwork component that will integrate emotional intelligence, character development, and effective social skills into the educational experience. Dr. Anderson and Premier Sport Psychology are based out of Edina.

Mathnasium and Family Club Minnesota

FIT Academy is excited to announce a partnership with e2D, parent company of Mathnasium-Eagan and Family-Club Minnesota. Mathnasium is an after-school math learning center in Eagan which has been serving over 600 students. Family-Club Minnesota has been involved in developing high quality after school programs for schools throughout the Twin Cities and globally. This partnership with Family-Club and Mathnasium of Eagan will provide the FIT Academy community with access to advanced learning resources ensuring all students achieve their potential in math while providing higher quality after school programs. This will come in the form of individualized math support for students throughout the day using Mathnasium’s proven individualized programs.

The JK Movement

The JK Movement is a non-profit organization providing mentorship programs for youth in the Twin Cities metro and surrounding areas.  Its mission is to “empower and inspire effective change in the minds, bodies, and spirits of young people”.  The JK Movement’s goals are to foster a commitment to our young people that will promote strong interpersonal skills, educational and career pathways and reassert a sense of hope for their future.  JKM also desires to establish a positive, supportive system around youth through a comprehensive personal development program. The JK Movement will offer a free after school program called Leadership in A Diverse Community.

Northern Star Council - Boy Scouts of America

Scouts have fun and go places with their family, friends, and neighbors while earning awards with requirements that develop self-responsibility, confidence, and willingness to help others. Scouts go fishing, build rockets, eat s’mores, and make friends. Plus, there’s the pinnacle of most Cub Scout years – the Pinewood Derby! Scouts earn recognition while doing fun activities with their family, using a handbook as their guide. Get to know your son’s friends and their families as part of a den made up of similar age boys. FIT Academy will be hosting a Cub Scout & Boy Scout troop!

Kick Start Martial Arts of Eagan

FIT Academy has partnered with Kick Start Martial Arts of Eagan to offer after school opportunities for students to learn martial arts. Martial arts incorporate many of the basic movements and skills foundational to a healthy and athletic lifestyle. Click here to reach the Kick Start website!

Elite Gymnastics Association

Elite Gymnastics Academy (EGA) offers a variety of fun programs such as Ninja Zone, recreational & competitive gymnastics and trampoline & tumbling programs for boys and girls ages 18-months & up of all skill levels and abilities! Join the fun at EGA today!

Cycle Health

CycleHealth offers fitness challenges, motivation programs, and adventure races that keep kids motivated year-round. Our innovative Sweat Rx gives pediatricians a concrete tool to inspire kids to get active. Kids across Minnesota are getting engaged and ready to lead us to a new cycle of health.

American Heart Association

The American Heart Association recognizes the importance of developing active and healthy youth. The AHA supports this through programs such as Jump Rope for Heart which will be implemented at FIT Academy.

McPhail Music

McPhail is a highly regarded music school and they have agreed to provide an after school music program at FIT Academy. The lower grade program will consist of an Orff program exploring various forms of music while the program for the higher grades will focus primarily on band instruments.
